Phang Nga Real Estate And Other Interesting Facts

Phang Nga Real Estate And Other Interesting Facts

Phang Nga province borders Phuket to the north and has become a popular place to build a vacation property thanks to its location and diverse range of local attractions.

From Phuket airport Phang Nga’s seemingly endless and quiet beaches are just a 20 minute car journey away. It’s actually easier to reach Phang Nga than is it some of the southernmost areas of Phuket.

Accessible from Phang Nga are many islands which are protected national park areas and as such are a wonder to visit. There are numerous other areas of outstanding natural beauty in Phang Nga like springs, caves and large, tiered waterfalls. There are all sorts of things to do including but not limited to fishing, rock climbing, rafting, cultural centres, golf and diving. You can elect to enjoy the slower pace of Phang Nga life or absorb yourself in heart pumping activities.

A regular event in Phang Nga that you don’t want to miss out on is the Free the Turtles Fair where the Fisheries Department release baby turtles raised by the department into the sea.

As is quite typical for Thailand there are many small bars and live music offerings scattered about here and there. The nightlife is much more laid back than in the other more developed areas of Thailand.

In the past and as Phuket gradually became more established, luxury property developers began to look further north for the perfect sea view location and Phang Nga showed great potential.

Traditionally the Phang Nga area was dominated by shrimp farms and other agricultural industries. About 10 years ago the only significant leisure development in Phang Nga was the Dusit Hot Springs Resort. Shortly after one of the owners of the Emporium shopping mall in Bangkok built a luxury villa in Phang Nga, real estate started to become a lot more valuable.

Around this time a Thai hotelier created a hotel managed development; Aleenta at Natai beach whose prices were level with Phuket prices. The project was quick to sell out and Natai was starting to get noticed by luxury property buyers. The popularity of these projects was simply due to the proximity of quiet beaches and regular sunsets literally on your door step. Phuket International Airport is only a short journey away on a well built and relatively traffic free highway which makes it easy to check out the true potential of Phang Nga real estate.
